GETTING STARTED
Welcome to yet another fun and exciting year for our Marching Lions. The season already looks very promising!
Items to keep in mind:
During hurricane season, football games, rehearsals, competitions and any other scheduled events are always subject to being rescheduled or cancelled. We will communicate any changes the moment we receive notification. These changes will be communicated through the Band App. There is also a QR code on the last page of this packet.
Attendance at rehearsals is very important. If a student has to miss due to a family emergency or dr’s. appointment, please let Mrs. or Mr. Foster know.
On rehearsal days, if it is raining we will continue with practice INSIDE unless the School District cancels after school activity.
Attendance at all performances (Football Games and Competitions) is mandatory. Please mark these dates on your calendar and make plans accordingly. Competitions are all day events. Students will be allowed to be signed out by their legal guardian AFTER they perform if necessary. Unlike sports, Marching Band does not have a second-string or back-up players. Every performer is important for making the “big picture” come together. Marching a “hole” or have any missing parts in a small band is a challenge
The majority of the show is learned during Band Camp. If a family vacation or event is planned during that time, please let us know so we can help that student get caught up with whatever they may miss.
If finding a ride to or from the school is an issue, please let Mr. or Mrs. Foster know so we can assist with finding arrangements.
detailed Itineraries and Schedules will be posted the MONDAY before a competition. They will be posted on the BAND APP, Website and given out as paper copies
If anyone needs to be dropped off early or wait for a ride, Mr. Foster will be present the entire day.
